Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Haul, operated by Penguin Labs LLC ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using Haul, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Haul Does

Haul is a receipt intelligence tool that connects to your Gmail account (with your permission) to automatically find purchase confirmation emails, track return deadlines, and provide spending insights.

2. Your Account

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Haul.

You agree not to use Haul to violate any laws, infringe on others' rights, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.

3. Gmail Access

By connecting your Gmail account, you authorize Haul to access your Gmail using read-only permissions to find purchase confirmation emails. You can revoke this access at any time via Google Account settings.

We only access purchase-related emails. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we access and store.

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Plan

The free plan is available indefinitely with limited features (90-day history, no return alerts, limited retailers).

Premium Plan

Premium is $7.99/month or $59.99/year, billed in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Free Trial

If we offer a free trial, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then.

5. Accuracy of Data

Haul uses AI to extract purchase information from emails. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all data (including return deadlines) is perfectly accurate. Always verify return deadlines directly with the retailer before initiating a return.

Haul is not responsible for any losses resulting from inaccurate return deadline information.

6. Intellectual Property

Haul and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Penguin Labs LLC. Your purchase data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Haul is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Haul will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all purchase emails will be detected. Gmail API availability is outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Penguin Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Haul. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
